Automatic Ground Control Point Detection for Aerial Imagery

SkyPin automatically detects ArUco and AprilTag markers in your drone or aerial images. It locates markers in each image and outputs their precise pixel coordinates. If you provide a coordinate file with the real-world positions of your ground control points, SkyPin produces a complete GCP list ready for use with OpenDroneMap or other photogrammetry software.

The marker_id must match the ID encoded in your ArUco/AprilTag markers. Coordinates should be in the same CRS as specified by the EPSG code below.

Detection Parameters

ArUco Dictionary: Default: DICT_APRILTAG_16h5

Max Aspect Ratio: Maximum allowed aspect ratio for detected markers (filters non-square false detections)
